About this kit
The Austin Mantel Surround is designed to be practical and stylish. The mantel comes unfinished so you can choose the exact stain or paint that will be best in your space.
This mantel is crafted from hardwoods including Choi and Poplar. Choi is a light-colored, tight grained wood that takes paint and stain beautifully! Light sanding and filling is recommended before paint or stain is applied.

For a period of 24 months from the date of application (if applied during the paint's proper shelf life — paint has a shelf life of 2 years), the paint must be applied and maintained in accordance with the surface preparation and application recommended by our instructions. This limited warranty covers a one-time replacement or a product refund. Customers are expected to maintain their fireplace and take the proper care as listed under the FAQ / instructions.
