About this kit
The Franklin surround is a beautiful centerpiece for any home. It has exquisite detailing in the moldings, surround, fluted legs, and accented shelf. The ornate mantel in white paint finish can be enjoyed as is or changed to your favorite color with a quick sanding and a little paint.
This mantel is economic and durable because it is made from MDF, which is a low-cost alternative to wood. MDF is made of real wood fibers and valued for it's defect-free composition and highly uniform density. This allows for a strong, long-lasting mantel.
